I want my artwork to show a respect for the medium, clear composition and authentic reflections of my personal experiences and observations. I use a variety of art materials (watercolors, acrylics, pastels, graphite, inks), but am most fond of pastels, which incorporate both drawing and painting techniques, and require a minimum of associated materials and supplies.

I have studied art, geology, and many other things. I am a gardener, a hiker, a good cook, a fan of birds, a student of guitar, a tai chi nerd, and a reader. I am fond of our planet and, with a few exceptions, most living things on it. It is from those points of interest that I begin my creative process as an artist.
